Making people aware of Neos is one of the most effective ways how you can help spread the word. This page collects some of the tips and tricks we have found to work well.

Presenting at conferences and meetups takes some courage. Don't be afraid, we are around to support you.

#Finding The Right Event

Basically, any event related to web or software development can be suitable to present Neos. The following list can help to get you started:

  • search for web dev, frontend, javascript, php

#Finding The Right Topic

- ensure it's relevant to the audience.

- suggestion: no "Neos Presentation"; but rather a topic relevant to the audience with a connection to Neos.

#Preparing Your Presentation

- show Neos in the beginning, to set the stage.

- focus on the editing experience

#Presenting

don't "over-hype" Neos but explain it realistically. with pros and cons :) 

ideally, explain that things can and will go wrong. Explain how to get help, and ideally how people can reach you personally.

If a few months before a conference, end with a clear "call for action", e.g. invite people to check out the conference schedule and give feedback there.
